Day 1 of the inaugural Durban Sky Grand Prix took place today on Durban’s beachfront, Im battling to put this event into words, thats how insane it was!
Thousands of people flocked down to the beach for a day of adrenaline pumping action, and wow I have photographed many air shows before but this was just next level. The crowds were entertained by a range of aerobatic displays by some extremely skilled South African Pilots. The Gripen fighter jet, The Goodyear Eagles and The Silver Falcons were some of the crowds favourites.
Durban has so much to offer as a city and when you look at how well an event like this is run, it makes me proud to call myself a Durbanite. If you are not doing anything tomorrow get yourself down to the beachfront. This is how air shows in Durban should be run!
