Anyone who’s interested in sports photography will tell you, shooting a game in a stadium while thousands of fans cheer their team on is the ultimate!
Over the past few year’s I have been fortunate enough to shoot football games all across SA and I can honestly say that the feeling you get when you walk out onto the pitch is mind blowing. The vibe and the energy in the stadiums is amazing. Seeing thousands of fans blowing their vuvuzela’s and going mental is what makes it for me and when a goal is scored, well let’s just say that sound goes completely through you.
I have shot in all the stadium’s built in South Africa for the Fifa World Cup and can honestly say Moses Mabhida is the best! (In my opinion)
It truly is such an iconic stadium and im proud to say I have been able to showcase this phenomenal structure and it’s events to the rest of the world and to show other stadiums how it should be done. #I<3MMS
Tonight I shot Amazulu vs Bidvest Wits with the latest Canon 400 F2.8 mkII, wow is all I can say. From focus speed, sharpness and overall image quality this lens is a must have when it comes to shooting things like this.
As you all know I recently moved to Canon and its producing images like this that makes it all worth it. Trusting gear to deliver is important when it comes to shooting things on this level.
